How to Activate Droid Transfer

Summary

When initially downloading and installing Droid Transfer on your PC, it will run in "Demonstration mode". This will allow you to try out the software, with some demo limitations, before considering purchasing a full license.

If you purchase a Droid Transfer license through our website, you will receive an activation code. You can use this code with the steps in this guide to activate your license and unlock the full version of Droid Transfer.

How to Activate Droid Transfer 2

1. Download and install Droid Transfer on your PC.
2. Launch Droid Transfer by double-clicking on the Droid Transfer icon on your desktop (or you can click the Windows icon on your Desktop and search for "Droid Transfer").
3. Click "Activate" from the bottom of the Welcome screen.
   • If this button is not visible to you, this means that Droid Transfer is already activated on your PC.
   
4. Enter your activation code and click "Activate".
5. Droid Transfer is now activated! Click "Close" to return to Droid Transfer and begin using the software. All trial limitations will now have been removed.

If you don't have an activation code, you can purchase one here. Activation codes for Droid Transfer 2 should begin with DTFL or DTFR, and should be followed by 20 digits.

How to Activate Droid Transfer 1

Droid Transfer 1 activation codes begin with DTPC, and should be followed by 20 digits.

If your activation code begins with DTPC, please download and install your purchased version of the software from here.

1. Start Droid Transfer by double-clicking the icon on your desktop.
2. In the top-right corner of the Droid Transfer window, click "Activate".
3. Enter your activation code, and click "Activate".
4. You will be asked to choose a password, so that you can re-activate Droid Transfer should you need to re-activate Droid Transfer at a later date or on a different computer. While creating this password, please make sure that it is shorter than 16 characters in length. After creating a password, you will also need to enter an email address, this will be used if you forget your password and need it to be sent to you.

Droid Transfer from the Microsoft Store

If you purchased Droid Transfer through Microsoft Store instead, you will not need an activation code.

To use the Microsoft Store version of Droid Transfer, ensure that you install the program directly from Microsoft Store, rather than from our website. This will ensure that your purchased license is automatically applied.
