Cannot find where to enter my TouchCopy activation code.

Summary

To activate TouchCopy, follow these steps...

  1. Download, install and launch TouchCopy.
  2. Click 'Activate TouchCopy' in the top right corner of the main TouchCopy window.
  3. Enter your activation code and click "Activate".
  4. Enter your email address, create a password and then click "Activate TouchCopy".

Detailed Steps

To manually register TouchCopy...

  • Download the demo of TouchCopy if you have not done so already, visit TouchCopy website and click on the download links.
  • Install TouchCopy on your computer by running the downloaded installer.
  • Start TouchCopy by double clicking the TouchCopy icon on your desktop.
  • At the introduction screen Click "Activate TouchCopy".
  • Enter your activation code, and click "Activate".
  • You will be asked for a password, select a password that can be used to re-activate TouchCopy should you need to re-install TouchCopy. Please provide an email address so that your password can be sent to you should you forget it.

TouchCopy needs to be connected to the internet in order to activate correctly. Please ensure that your computer has a valid internet connection before activating TouchCopy. Also, please check that any firewall software on your computer is not blocking TouchCopy from reaching the internet.

@Sharon Please try temporarily disabling any firewall software that may be preventing TouchCopy from accessing the internet. Alternatively, please make an exception in your firewall software to all access to TouchCopy to communicate through it.

My computer got wiped so I have to reinstall and reactivate TouchCopy 9. I have installed the software but when I try to launch the program I get an error message saying "TouchCopy has encountered a problem and needs to close. We apologize for the inconvenience this error will cause. We have gathered engineering information about this error....". So I have not been able to put in my activation code.

I tried downloading the trial version of TouchCopy 12 and it launched perfectly. What is the problem?

@Teresa As we no longer support or update TouchCopy 09 this can lead to the product becoming out of date and not working with newer OS or iOS systems. This results in an error message like what you have described.

@john hanlon You can re-download the latest version of TouchCopy 12 for PC from Helpdesk, and then you will simply need to re-activate your software using your activation code and the password you created when last activating TouchCopy.

About transferring from ipod to itunes since my imac has a new HD...does ipod automatically deleted the songs (on the ipod) when transferring to itunes?

@Frank Batang When transferring your tracks from your iPod to iTunes using TouchCopy, the tracks will remain on your iPod and will not be automatically deleted. Tracks will only be deleted when syncing your iPod to your iTunes library if your iTunes library does not contain those tracks.

Hi, I made a purchase through TrialPay and it does not explain how I'm supposed to get the complete TouchCopy Software. It keeps telling me I've reached the max. I wanted to finish my copy process. Do I get an email confirmation with a code? If so, how long does it take from time of a purchase? Thank you.

@Mary Once TrialPay has validated your purchase, they should send you an activation code by email. This may take between a couple of hours to a few days depending on how quickly the vendor is able to validate your purchase.
