Connecting an Android device with Contact Transfer using Wi-Fi
Before you start:
- The free Contact Transfer Android app is required in order to connect your Android with your computer for use with Contact Transfer.
You can get the app from the Google Play Store on your Android device. - Ensure your PC and Android device are connected to your local Wi-Fi network. It is important that both devices are on the same local network.
How to connect Android to PC using Wi-Fi:
- Start up Contact Transfer on your PC.
- Select which device you want to transfer contacts from (Source) and which to transfer to (Destination).
- Click Continue.
- If Android is one of your chosen devices, grab your device and launch the Contact Transfer app on it.
- Tap "Scan Contact Transfer QR Code". Now a red line will appear on your Android screen, and your camera will activate.
- Hold your Android's camera up to your computer screen and scan the QR code in Contact Transfer.
Connection is now made between Contact Transfer and your Android and you can start transferring and managing your contacts using Contact Transfer on your PC.

Connecting an iPhone with Contact Transfer using a USB Cable
Before you start: To connect your iPhone to your PC using a USB cable, you must have either iTunes or the Apple Devices app installed on your computer. These allow your PC to recognize and communicate with your iPhone.
How to connect an iPhone using USB:
- Launch Contact Transfer on your PC.
- Select which device you wish to transfer contacts from (Source) and which to transfer to (Destination).
- Click Continue.
- If an iPhone is one of your chosen devices, connect it to your PC using a USB cable. Tap Trust if prompted on your iPhone.
- When successfully connected, your iPhone device name will show in Contact Transfer.
Connection is now made between Contact Transfer and your iPhone and you can start transferring and managing your contacts using Contact Transfer on your PC.
