TouchCopy Options
Clicking the Options button (the button with the spanner on it, on the right hand side of the application) opens the programs options window. The TouchCopy options are grouped in the following categories.
General
In this window you can:-
- Adjust the playback volume when playing music from your iPod through your PC.
- Specify if TouchCopy should ask you before opening iTunes. (Default is checked.)
- Specify if you wish to browse your music library by Genre.
- Choose whether you want to highlight the songs that are protected by Digital Rights Management (DRM) with a lock icon (
).
- Choose whether you wish to Hide Sources without content (for example do not show Podcast group on the left pane of TouchCopy if your iPod doesn't contain podcasts)
Copy Options
In this window you can:-
- Choose the location to copy music to on your hard drive
- Specify if Playlists should be saved under Artist/Album folders
- Specify if search results are copied or transferred as a playlist.
- Specify if files saved are prefixed with the songs track number. (Default is checked)
- Display a message when copying is complete
History
In this window you can select how you would like TouchCopy to handle previously successfully copied tracks, i.e. those marked with a green check.
Control Bar
In this window you can select enable or disable buttons you wish to appear on the TouchCopy control bar. For example, if you never use the TouchCopy Notes Manager, you can remove the Notes button from the Control Bar by unchecking Notes in Options. Later you can add the Notes button by checking Notes in Control Bar Options. You can also change these settings by right clicking on the Control Bar.
Updates
Make sure that you're using the latest version of TouchCopy by regularly checking for TouchCopy updates with the Updates option.
Once you have made your adjustments, click "OK" to confirm your changes.
Your setting preferences will be saved for when you next run TouchCopy.
