I get a message saying, "Error getting video from source" when trying download videos from YouTube

First please check that you are using the latest version of Quivic by clicking the Options pull-down menu in Quivic and then selecting the Update tab. You can download the updated version of Quivic from here.

If your problem persists please make sure that any firewalls that you have are not preventing Quivic from accessing the internet. If you are using Norton firewall in particular, ensure that Quivic is on the list programs allowed to access the internet. Quivic has not been reported to have any problems with standard Windows firewall software.
