Setting Quivic Options

Click the Options button in the toolbar and you can set your preferences on how Quivic operates.

The Options window has a number of tabs...

Video Format

Here you can specify the device / format you want Quivic to convert your video to once it has been downloaded. If you select Standard WMV format, the downloaded files will be converted to the Windows Media Video format, which can be played on any PC using your default media player application (e.g. Windows Media Player).

Alternatively, you can select the iPod, iPhone, Zune or PSP format, which will enable you to convert videos for playback on any of these devices.

If you select iPod or PSP format, you can further define the type of video you would like produced by clicking on the appropriate tabs.

iPod Format

The format and size of the video Quivic produces for your iPod is set in this tab on the options window. You can select between MPEG4 or H264 formats and 320x240 or 640x480 video size.

PSP Options

You can select the size of the video that Quivic produces for your PSP in this tab. All PSP devices should be able to play all the video sizes here. Of course, the larger the video size you pick - the larger the file size of the video that is produced.

Save Location

Here you can specify if you would like the converted video to be copied into your iTunes library or as a file on your PC. If you opt to copy the final file to your PC, you can specify the location where you would like this file to be copied to. If you choose to import video straight into iTunes, please read our setting up iTunes instructions.

Updates

Quivic can be updated periodically by our development team. To see if you have the latest version of Quivic, click "Check for Quivic Updates" in this tab.

Click OK to apply your setting preferences. Any videos that you begin downloading from this point will be converted to the parameters you have selected here. If you modified the Format or Save Location settings, these changes are also reflected in the Quick Settings toolbar.
